About Hurlock
On leaving school 50 plus years ago I helped run the family arable farm for 30 years including property management for our local USAF air personel who stayed in our properties near Woodbridge. Then a 10 year stint assisting my brother in law to diversify on his farm, during this time I purchased 9 The Whinlands, Thorpeness over 25 years ago as a self-catering holiday home and have until about a year ago used local agents to find my guests. I now carry out all the booking and general repairs myself, using a local laundry for my cleaning and changeovers.
At 57 I decided to start my own business, as an oil heating engineer and have just completed my 15 year, hopefully no intention to retire yet!!
One of my hobbies is classic car restoration, having now rebuilt a war-time Jeep and a sportscar.
